2025 DeKalb County #GivingTuesday
In every corner of DeKalb County, there’s a quiet moment where kindness changes someone’s day.
Sometimes it looks like a warm meal delivered to a senior who hasn’t seen a friendly face all week.
Sometimes it’s a volunteer who rearranges their schedule just to make sure every route is covered.
Sometimes it’s a neighbor stepping up with a small gift that helps keep a vital program going.
And sometimes, once a year, it looks like an entire community choosing generosity together.
This Giving Tuesday, we’re celebrating the stories that remind us why DeKalb County is special.
Stories like Eleanor’s, who waits by her window every afternoon because her Meals on Wheels driver is the only person she talks to that day.
Or James, a veteran who shared that the meal he receives is “more than food, it’s proof that my community hasn’t forgotten me.”
Or Mary and Thomas, a volunteer duo who deliver meals on their lunch break because, as they put it, “If we don’t show up, who will?”
These stories happen every day, quietly, consistently, and powerfully, because of people who give.
On December 2, 2025, we’re asking our community to come together once again to ensure these moments continue. Your Giving Tuesday gift helps us nourish seniors, support families, strengthen local programs, and build a county where no one is left behind.
One day. One community. One powerful act of generosity.
Together, we can make sure the people who depend on us feel seen, supported, and cared for—not just today, but all year long.
This is DeKalb County.
This is what happens when neighbors show up for neighbors.
This is Giving Tuesday.
